This book started slow for me at first, but quickly picked up. It got a lot more exciting and interesting as it went along with all the action and romance. The idea was pretty unique and the world created was, too.
I thought the main character, Kira, was a pretty lackluster character at the beginning, but over time she became a lot more relatable and a better character in general. The love interest, Octavian, was awesome, but I didn’t really understand why Kira fell for him so quickly at first, since he was pretty hostile towards her. The romance was sweet, though. Overall, this book was a good and exciting read, so I’d give it 31/2 out of 5 stars.
When a photo shoot ends in tragedy, Kira discovers her best friend, Lydia, has been keeping a secret. Knowing the truth, and accepting it, will change Kira's life forever and thrust her into a world of ancient curses, magical objects, and savage enemies. What happens next will challenge everything Kira knows about her world, herself and the shape-shifting warrior she's falling in love with. No longer the timid mouse her mother accused her of being, but a woman who finds the mental and physical strength to endure and survive.
BOUND is a heroic tale of true friendship, infinite sacrifice and untamed love.
