Dusty Reads #1

I'm taking part in a meme by Giselle at Xpresso Reads :) Dusty Reads is where you talk about a book that's been getting dusty on your shelf for a while.

Everneath by Brodi Ashton

Last spring, Nikki Beckett vanished, sucked into an underworld known as the Everneath, where immortals Feed on the emotions of despairing humans. Now she's returned- to her old life, her family, her friends- before being banished back to the underworld... this time forever.

She has six months before the Everneath comes to claim her, six months for good-byes she can't find the words for, six months to find redemption, if it exists.Nikki longs to spend these months reconnecting with her boyfriend, Jack, the one person she loves more than anything. But there's a problem: Cole, the smoldering immortal who first enticed her to the Everneath, has followed Nikki to the mortal world. And he'll do whatever it takes to bring her back- this time as his queen. As Nikki's time grows short and her relationships begin slipping from her grasp, she's forced to make the hardest decision of her life: find a way to cheat fate and remain on the Surface with Jack or return to the Everneath and become Cole's...

I bought this right when it came out, and I haven't read it yet.
I'm thinking of making it one of my summer reads. What's getting dusty on your shelf?

  6. Considering I buy books ALL the time for my Kindle and don't get to half of them, I think I have a LOT of dusty books. :) My books for review seem to always take precedence. :)

    1. I'm the same way when I buy books. I end up buying a lot at one time, and then end up waiting a while to read them ;)

  8. If you are anything like me, when you start this keep pushing through. For me, it was a little slow going at the beginning. The middle was better. The ending made me excited for the 2nd book in the series. I hope you enjoy it, though. I think I may just be weird!

    1. I just finished it and I agree with you. It did start kind of slow at first. The ending was amazing though!

  9. I have more "Dusty" reads than you can shake a stick at. I love series books but hate the wait between so tend to hold onto them till it is finished (yea, years) or till 3 or 4 in the series is out and then read them back to back!

    1. That's a really good idea! I always end up trying to do that, but I never can seem to follow through on it :D

  10. I have a lot of dusty reads... I tend to buy a lot of paperbacks and never got the chance to read them but I tend to read all my kindle buys. Right now, most of my dusty reads consist of historical romance novels... I hope to finish most of them this summer :)

  11. Well...they are on my mostly virtual shelf. Lol. I bought some books when they came out and have yet to read them. They include Enraptured by Elisabeth Naughton, Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore, Firelight by Kristen Callihan, The Chief by Monica McCarty and The Darkest Seduction by Gena Showalter to name just a few. Lol.
    Good luck with yours. ;)
