Becca Chandler is suddenly getting all the guys - all the ones she doesn't want. Ever since her ex-boyfriend spread those lies about her. Then she saves Chris Merrick from a beating in the school parking lot. Chris is different. Way different: he can control water just like his brothers can control fire, wind, and earth. They're powerful. Dangerous. Marked for death.
And now that she knows the truth, so is Becca.
Secrets are hard to keep when your life's at stake. When Hunter, the mysterious new kid around school, turns up with a talent for being in the wrong place at the right time, Becca thinks she can trust him. But then Hunter goes head-to-head with Chris, and Becca wonders who's hiding the most dangerous truth of all.
The storm is coming.
Storm was an amazing book that I flew through in a few hours. Brigid Kemmerer is one of my new favorite authors.
Storm follows a normal girl named Becca, who meets a guy who is one of four brothers that each control a certain element. From there, she gets involved in the race to stop so much stuff from occurring. Also, don’t forgot all the hot guys involved ;)
I really loved all the characters. Becca was an extremely strong (and loyal) girl. She really cared about everyone else. She has a best friend, Quinn, and has lived with just her mom ever since her dad left. I thought it was pretty amazing that, despite all the crazy stuff going on around her, she still was able to help. Also, I loved Chris! He was really awesome and cared so much about Becca. However, my favorite brother was definitely Gabriel even though you didn’t get to see too much of him. I thought he had such an amazing personality. Also, there was a guy (Hunter) who was new in town. Becca seemed to really like him, but he always seems to be hiding something.
The plot was really intense. There were so many things I didn’t expect to happen that occured. It was crazy! ;) A lot of secrets about the brother’s and Becca’s past also ended up being revealed. At the same time, Becca and Chris and everyone else around them are just trying to stay alive and remain in control.
I wish the ending hadn’t been so abrupt, but besides that, I’d give Storm 4 out of 5 flowers. It was an amazing start to the Elemental series! :)
