Blogger Interview and Giveaway: Fiction Freak

Fiction Freak
Hi! I'm now doing interviews on my blog, and I was so happy to interview Nikki, the amazing blogger over at Fiction Freak

Describe yourself in five words :)

Crazy, Fun, OBSSESSED, Nice-y, Out-of-this-world-awesome (the hyphens totally make it one word)
(I also asked two awesome people and they said…)

Eileen (Singing and Reading in the Rain)
Crazy
Asian
Awesome
Pie lover

Shreya (Chocolate Coated Reviews)
Nutty
Illuminating
Kind
Knowledgeable
Irresistible

What inspired you to decide to start blogging?

Hmm…honestly, nothing except my love of books I guess! I’ve always loved reading (Nancy Drew then Shannon Creech. Those were my first read-for-pleasure books!) I was just bored one night (sometime new Thanksgiving!) and I was browsing YAreads when I thought “Why can’t I do this? Let’s see…” And that’s really where it all started!

What are your favorite blogs to visit?

OK. GIGANTIC list here!

Fiktshun

BOOK BELLES!
Sparkles and Lightning
Xpresso Reads
Paperback Princess

And so many more!

What are you top three favorite books ever?
YOU DID NOT JUST ASK ME THAT QUESTION!

But…does The Iron Fey series count as one?

If so, then THE IRON FEY series by Julie Kagawa, VENOM by Fiona Paul, and…The FAULT IN OUR STARS by John Green!

If you could have lunch with any author who would it be?
Hmmm…if we’re saying who I’d like to fangirl over, Julie Kagawa. If we’re talking who we’d actually like to meet,Fiona Paul! She’s SO NICE and I love her! (I may also bug either of these women to tell me what happens next..heehee.)

What is your favorite part about being part of the blogging community?
Meeting all these awesome people! I’ve never met quite as many amazing people as I have when I was blogging. Authors, readers, other bloggers, they’re all WONDERFUL people! (Except you haters. Boo you.) I never knew how large a community could be! The blogosphere definitely has some of the best people ever.

When you are in a reading slump, is there a certain book or genre you turn to?
I don't have a specific genre or anything, but when I'm in a reading slump, I go to a bookstore and ask twitter what's good and what's not! Or I randomly grab a book from my favorites shelf and reread that. :)

What do you think is the best book turned movie adaptation that you have seen?
...Isn't bad that I haven't watched many? From the ones I've seen tough, Hunger Games definitely! But the Beautiful Creatures trailer was absolutely STUNNING! I can't wait to watch that actual movie!

What is your favorite book quote?
"How stupid of me to let my heart go. It was a lovely fantasy while it lasted though, wasn't it?"
-Falco (Venom by Fiona Paul)
IT'S JUST SOOOO SAD!

If you were able to read any 2013 release right now, what book would you choose?
OMG NO. I CANT ANSWER THIS.Can I say ALL of them? there are seriously tons of awesome ones, but a few are city of a Thousand Dolls, Chantress, Altered, After You, All Our Yesterdays, Pivot Point, Revel, Poison, the Falconer...am I allowed to go on and on and on?

Nikki also has a awesome giveaway for everyone! She's giving away some mystery books/ARC's, depending on what your favorite genre is :)

I pre-ordered Venom just because of how many times I've seen Nikki gush about it on her own blog. I'm so jittery waiting for its release because of her it's not even funny! haha

I just wanted to say that Nikki is not on my payroll (holy crap, did she just mention VENOM next to John Green and Julie Kagawa O_O??) but that if I had a payroll *daydreams* I would totally put her on it, because she is that awesome :) She even taught me when to use the O_O and the o_O and the >_< faces.
