Gossip girl meets Hollywood in this new series by Jillian Dodd
Keatyn has everything she ever dreamed of. Her life is following the script she wrote for the perfect high school experience. She’s popular, goes to the best parties, dates the hottest guy, and sits at the most coveted lunch table.
She’s just not sure she wants it anymore.
Because really, things aren’t all that perfect.
Her best friend is threatening to tell everyone her perfect relationship is a scam.
Her perfect boyfriend gets drunk at every party they go to.
It’s exhausting always trying to look and act perfect.
And deep down, she isn’t sure if she has any true friends.
To add to the drama, her movie star mom has a creepy stalker.
A hot, mysterious man keeps flirting with her and telling her they should make a movie together.
And she’s crushing on an adorable surfer. Dating him would mean committing social suicide.
So she writes a new script. One where all the pieces of her life will come together in perfect harmony.
But little does she know, there's someone who will do anything to make sure that doesn’t happen.
The storyline and plot flowed well and I though that helped keep the story entertaining. I personally did like the main character Keatyn a lot, and her background made the story more interesting. Both of her parents were famous, but I didn't like a lot of Keatyn's friends and how she let their actions go in the book. She was a fun, nice character though.
I liked both the plot and storyline a lot, but I disliked how Keatyn went back and forth between two different guys. She was in love with one and then fell in love with the other super quickly. I liked one boy a lot and thought he as pretty amazing, although the other wasn't too great. (Just to mention it, Stalk Me is definitely more mature YA) Also, there is the storyline of Keatyn being stalked (like the title ;) I thought that definitely was an interesting element to the story.
Overall, I enjoyed Stalk Me a lot for the most part. I'll probably be reading the sequel, Kiss Me, which is already out :) I'm excited to see what happens with the story! I'd give Stalk Me 3 1/2 out of 5 flowers.
