It's been months since Aria last saw Perry. Months since Perry was named Blood Lord of the Tides, and Aria was charged with an impossible mission. Now, finally, they are about to be reunited. But their reunion is far from perfect. The Tides don't take kindly to Aria, a former Dweller. And with the worsening Aether storms threatening the tribe's precarious existence, Aria begins to fear that leaving Perry behind might be the only way to save them both.
Threatened by false friends, hidden enemies, and powerful temptations, Aria and Perry wonder, Can their love survive through the ever night?
In this second book in her spellbinding Under the Never Sky trilogy, Veronica Rossi combines fantasy and dystopian elements to create a captivating love story as perilous as it is unforgettable.
I loved Under The Never Sky and it was one of the first books I’ve ever reviewed on the blog, so I was counting down the days until Through The Ever Night would come out. It was a stunning sequel and I thought it was even better than the first.
This is my first five star read of 2013 and I couldn’t have hoped for a better one. Aria and Perry are back and the point of views switch off between them. Roar was so amazing in Through The Ever Night. He is seriously one of the best friends you could hope for. He’s so trustworthy and always there for both Aria and Perry.
The romance between Aria and Perry was also so sweet. It’s very genuine and true, which I always think is the best type of love. The plot was also so intense and suspenseful. I kept thinking I’ll put down the book after this chapter and then go to sleep. I attempted to do that multiple times, until I finally had to (to save my sleep ;) There were so many new developments in the search for the still blue and some shocking things and new people were revealed.
The relationships between everyone and just the depiction of how everyone worked together and how Aria and Perry had so much hope for the future was great. Just like Under The Never Sky, the way Through The Ever Night was the perfect ending, and now I only have to wait around...another year for the sequel. It should definitely be worth the wait, though.
Veronica Rossi delivered an amazing, action packed sequel. She is definitely one of my new favorite authors, and I’d give Through The Ever Night 5 out of 5 flowers, it doesn't deserve anything else ;)
