time for war.
Juliette has escaped to Omega Point. It is a place for people like her—people with gifts—and it is also the headquarters of the rebel resistance.
She's finally free from The Reestablishment, free from their plan to use her as a weapon, and free to love Adam. But Juliette will never be free from her lethal touch.
Or from Warner, who wants Juliette more than she ever thought possible.
In this exhilarating sequel to Shatter Me, Juliette has to make life-changing decisions between what she wants and what she thinks is right. Decisions that might involve choosing between her heart—and Adam's life.
I just finished Unravel Me last night, and I absolutely loved it. There are so many aspects that I loved, but I’m going to try not to gush too much ;)
First off, I forgot how unique the writing style for Shatter Me was. It took a little while for me to get used to it, but I thought it was great. There are also many passages in Unravel Me that are so beautiful. I always wonder how the author thought of them, and there are so many passages I’m tempted to frame. The writing was definitely one of my favorite parts of the entire book.
Before reading Unravel Me, I never understood why people thought Juliette and Warner should be together. Actually when I read Shatter Me, I didn’t even think there was any love triangle. I’ve always loved Adam. After reading Unravel Me, I like Warner so much. I think there’s a lot more to him than what he’s shown to be in Shatter Me. He cared so much for Juliette, and in a more normal way. Some of the things he said to her were so amazingly sweet <3. I feel like Shatter Me was Adam’s book, while Unravel Me was Warner’s book.
At the same time. Adam also cares so much about Juliette and is a very strong, reliable person. This is one of the few love triangles that I’m completely torn about. I’ll be happy if Juliette ends up with either guy. However, I think that whoever Juliette doesn’t choose will be heartbroken. I really don’t want to see either character in pain. Both Warner and Adam were so amazing.
Juliette goes through a lot of insecurity in the beginning of the book. She’s a very interesting narrator, and her mind got so complicated. She has to go through so much, and make a lot of important decisions in Unravel Me. There were also many different sides shown of her character. I loved how much she grew as a person from Shatter Me.
Another pretty prominent character in Unravel Me was Kenji. I liked him a lot in Shatter Me and he definitely helps lighten the tension. However, you definitely get to see a more serious side to him. He still was an awesome friend to Juliette.
Unravel Me is amazing sequel to Shatter Me! I am so unbelievably excited to read the final book in the trilogy. I hope that February 2014 comes quickly. If you haven’t read Shatter Me or Unravel Me, I’d highly recommend the series. I’d give Unravel Me 5 out of 5 flowers :)
