Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Books I Read Before I Was A Blogger

I've always loved reading but before I started blogging, I read pretty sporadically. Here are the books I really loved that I read before I started blogging :)

Prom and Prejudice

1.) Prom and Prejudice by Elizabeth Eulberg- I picked this up on impulse after realizing it was a retelling of Pride and Prejudice (which is one of my favorite classics). I ending up reading it within a day.

The Season
2.) The Season by Sarah MacLean- This book is the reason behind my love of historical fiction. It's such an amazing book, with equally awesome characters. I highly recommend it to everyone, even if you don't like historical fiction.

Two-Way Street

3.) Two Way Street by Lauren Barnholdt- I love road trip books and this was a really fun one.

The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1)4.) The Percy Jackson Series by Rick Riordan- I saw the movie before I read the books and absolutely loved it (mostly because of Logan Lerman ;) . I read all of the books afterwards, one after another. It's one of my favorite series ever.

The Daughters (The Daughters, #1)5.) The Daughters by Joanna Philbin- I think is one of the main reasons for my love of contemporaries. This book is both really fun with an awesome protagonist. The romance was super sweet, too.

I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You (Gallagher Girls, #1)6.) The Gallagher Girls Series by Ally Carter- When my local Border's was going out of business, they had a box set of the first three books on sale. My friend had just recommended it to me, so I picked it up. It can't get much more awesome than a school for teenage girl spies ;)

Anne of Green Gables

7.) Anne of Green Gables by L.M Montgomery- I t
hink this is the first classic I've ever read and definitely my favorite. Anne is such a funny, spunky heroine and Gilbert Blythe is pretty amazing. I remember reading the entire book in elementary school and wishing there would be a sequel. I discovered there were several sequels and then proceeded to read all of them.

Heist Society (Heist Society, #1)
8.) Heist Society by Ally Carter- After I loved the Gallagher Girls series so much, I checked Heist Society out from the library. I still can't decide if I like Hale or Zach more. They're both amazing!

Unearthly (Unearthly, #1)

9.) Unearthly by Cynthia Hand- A few months before I started blogging, I saw a glowing review for it on The B
ook Barbies. I picked it up and fell in love with the series :)

Anna and the French Kiss10.) Anna and The French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins- I was at Target with my mom when I first saw this. After reading the synopsis, I  bought a copy based on how great it sounded. It's one of my favorite contemporaries.

    1. I think not reading the book first helped me enjoy the movie more, lol :) I don't think I would have liked it as much if I had watched it after I read the series. Ally Carter's books are amazing, too. Thanks!
