Running aw
Falling for Hadie (With Me, #2)ay from his old life in New York City, Lincoln Bracks ends up in the small town of Statlen, Iowa. He isn’t interested in making friends or getting to know anyone. He just wants to keep his head down and disappear amongst the crowd. That was the plan anyway, until he meets Hadie Swinton. Nursing a broken heart and the realization that the boy she’s loved her entire life isn’t Prince Charming, Hadie is set against ever falling for the same type of guy again. But when new boy, Lincoln, arrives in town, she discovers that this is easier said than done. Hadie assumes that Lincoln is a typical arrogant jock—he is good-looking, confident and charming—but when he doesn’t do anything she expects him to, she is intrigued by him against her better judgment. There is definitely more to Lincoln than just a pretty face, but Lincoln is hiding something that he doesn’t want anybody to discover because when they do, they will never look at him the same again. Falling in love was the last thing Lincoln wanted to do, so how will he convince himself to fall out of it?

I really enjoyed Impossible, so I was interested in learning a lot more about Hadie and her own romance. While I didn't like the twist the plot took, both the characters and romance were great!

Lincoln was such an awesome character. He genuinely cared about Hadie and I liked how he saw through all the pretenses she put up. Hadie was a great character, as well. She was pretty frustrating at the beginning, but she got over that stage pretty fast.

For the romance, it was so sweet! Both characters cared about each other a lot,  despite something with Lincoln being foreshadowed throughout the entire book. Also, I loved the relationship Hadie had with her parents. They were both awesome. Lincoln's parents definitely had the opposite effect on me. I thought they could be such cold people.

The one thing I didn't like about the Falling For Hadie was the huge twist at the very end.  I started to guess it about 3/4 of the way through the book and I just don't like endings like that. I'm not going to say much more since I don't want to spoil anything, but I just wish this event had never happened.

Overall, Falling For Hadie was a good sequel. Besides the twist at the end, the characters and romance were both great :) I'd give it 3 out of 5 flowers.

  3. These new adult books are absolute trend it seems. I haven't read the first book in this series and it sounds so typical to me. Maybe I'll skip this series. Great review :)

    1. I haven't read a new adult book I've really enjoyed yet, but I'm hoping to find one :) Thanks!

  4. I hate when you guess the end or the twist too, but the romance does sound awesome!
    Great review :)
