Top Ten Tuesday: Best Sequels

There are so many amazing sequels, that it was hard to narrow it down to just ten. My final picks are listed below :)

Unravel Me (Shatter Me, #2)Everbound (Everneath, #2)Of Triton (Of Poseidon, #2)Unbreakable (Unraveling, #2)Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy (Gallagher Girls, #2)Through the Ever Night (Under the Never Sky, #2)Dare You To (Pushing the Limits, #2)Timepiece (Hourglass, #2)The Golden Lily (Bloodlines, #2)Sapphire Blue (The Ruby Red, #2)

Sapphire Blue by Kerstin Gier- This series is one of my favorites and the sequel was even better than the first, with more romance and action.

Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi- This book was so beautifully written and had some amazing new developments. It's one of my all time favorites.

Everbound by Brodi Ashton- While I enjoyed the first one, Everbound completely blew me away. It surpassed my expectations and I loved how the characters grew.

Of Triton by Anna Banks- This is such a fun series and one that I definitely won't get tired of. The characters, especially Emma, are snarky and especially awesome.

Unbreakable by Elizabeth Norris- This was the sequel that almost didn't happen, lol. Originally, Unraveling was a standalone, but I'm so glad Elizabeth Norris wrote Unbreakable to tie up all the loose ends.

Cross My Heart and Hope To Spy by Ally Carter- The Gallagher Girls series was one of the first YA book series I've ever read and Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy was so much more amazing than the first. My reason why is because a certain character is introduced ;)

Through The Ever Night by Veronica Rossi- I'm not usually a fan of sci-fi, but this series definitely an exception. The world building and plot are fascinating.

Dare You To by Katie McGarry- Pushing The Limits was pretty good, but I liked the characters in Dare You To so much more. The only thing I think might be even better than Dare You To is Isaiah's story ;)

Timepiece by Myra McEntire- I especially like how every book in this series is told in different povs and it's especially cool how it centers around time travel.

The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead-Bloodlines was awesome, but I loved how Adrien and Sydney's friendship grew to be even more in The Golden Lily. The plot definitely picked up speed, too.

What are your favorite sequels?

  4. Excellent list!! I just started Unraveling last night, so I'm happy to see the sequel on your list of the best! I read Ruby Red ages ago, and just haven't found my way back to the series yet. It sounds like I really need to!

  5. I have realized I am bad about starting a series and not continuing since I notice I have read the first book to half of your list, but not any sequels >.< I do look forward to continuing them though. Great picks! My TTT.

  7. Great list :) I would definitely have had Unbreakable on my list. For some reason I didn't enjoy the first one as much but that sequel...wow it was amazing. And Unravel Me is amazing as well. Hmmm as to others...Clockwork Prince and Pandemonium were great ones as well.

  10. I've read two of these, UNRAVEL ME and OF TRITON. While I loved UNRAVEL ME, I was kind of disappointed with OF TRITON. Nice list!
