A short, sweet novella.
Ryan Hunter's parties are legend. And tonight she's going to be there.
Liza Matthews anticipates the return of her best friend and only love since kindergarten from soccer camp. But when Tony finally shows up, his mind is more focused on another girl. And worse, she's a soccer player. Fighting for the attention Liza craves, she's just a hairbreadth away from making a very stupid decision. But when extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures, she's prepared to play ball to get her man.The tryouts are hell, the first match ends bloody, and the morning after the selection party she wakes up in the worst place possible—in the arms of the captain of the soccer team. The hottest guy in school. Ryan Hunter.

Hello everyone and thank you for stopping by to find out more about me. :-) It’s a pleasure to be here today.
What was your inspiration for writing Play With Me?
PLAY WITH ME actually was a summer distraction project for me. I was stuck in the middle of a long paranormal novel and needed something to clear my mind with for a while. Something totally different. No paranormal aspects in it. Not a long story. No villain who strives to destroy the world. Just something simple and super romantic with no sex in it. So it had to be YA book.
And when I started writing the first chapter to see how the main character was speaking to me, one line led to the next and suddenly I had this novella about soccer (seriously, I have no idea why there was sports in my book at all) and everyone seemed to love it for the simple reason that it was a light summer read.
Did you play soccer growing up, like the characters in Play With Me?
No. I grew up without any sports. And least of all soccer. I really disliked that particular ball game. Occasionally, in my summer vacations, I played tennis with my friend, but never on a court. We used to play in the street in front of my house, drawing an amateur field with chalk. That was about it.
Was it easier for you to write from Ryan's POV or Liza's?
Funnily enough, Ryan’s POV was way easier, even though I had no trouble hearing Liza in my mind either. But there was something about Ryan’s book…it felt like the guy was sitting next to me and dictated every word. I could barely type fast enough. The book was finished within 3 weeks. No lie.
What are you currently working on?
I’m writing Tony’s book right now. It won’t be the same story from another POV, but Tony will find his HEA in that book. The story takes place a short while after Play With Me, and all the old friends will be in it again, too. But the focus is on Samantha Summers, Tony’s love-hate-object. ;-)
How many books do you currently have planned for the Grover Beach Team series?
Well, after Tony’s book, there might be a couple more. But not right now. I do have a different story in mind which I want to write down soon, and I also have two other unfinished projects waiting for me. Only when all that is done, I’ll return to the Grover Beach Team series. Susan will get a book, and so will Justin and Cloey.
Did you always know you wanted to become a writer? What/who made you want to become one?
No, I didn’t always know it, but I always loved writing. I wrote down everything and anything, just for my personal pleasure. When I came across Lisa Jane Smith and her Night World Series, I decided to give writing a whole book a try – again, only for my personal pleasure. I loved how she wrote romance and vampires, so my first project was a vampire love story, too. It took me years to finish it, and it wasn’t good enough to be published. But I learned a lot (especially English, LOL) and when I started my second project, LOVING YOUR LIES, I knew I’d do everything it’d take to get this story out to a million readers.
What are your favorite books and authors?
Umm…I love everything by Kerrelyn Sparks. She’s writing the funniest vampire romances. Her Love At Stake series is one of my top favorite.
I also devoured Harry Potter, Twilight, and a few of Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunter books. Teresa Medeiros was my exploration into Historical romances.
My three favorite books are:
-Hush, Hush (only the first book in the saga) by Becca Fitzpatrick.
-Twilight (also only the first book, though the rest was pretty awesome, too) by Stephenie Meyer
- Fifty Shades of Grey (again, only the first book in the trilogy. The other two were quite boring, actually)
What do you like to do when you‘re not reading or writing?
I try to spend as much time as possible with my family and friends, because frankly, with all the writing, they come pretty short in my life. Whatever we do then is fine with me. But I especially enjoy ZUMBA dancing with a couple of friends twice a week, or just drifting into fantasy land with my headphones on and some good music turned on maximum volume.
