Stacking the Shelves (#41)

Hello everyone! ^__^ This is Rachael again, for another Stacking the Shelves! These are books I've received in the last few weeks. Here's what I received!

For Review:

Antigoddess by Kendare Blake - I'm a HUGE fan of Greek mythology, so this was on my must read for quite a long time! Can't wait to read this!

Marie Antoinette, Serial Killer by Katie Alender - I've heard some mixed reviews about this one, but it's still a murder mystery set in Paris. Let me repeat - Set. In. Paris.

Kinslayer by Jay Kristoff - I have a copy of STORMDANCER and haven't started it yet, mainly because I've heard that Kristoff got some of the Japanese culture in the book wrong. I might binge read the series now, but I'm still admittedly a bit unsure :/

Skulk by Rosie Best - I've always been a fan of Strange Chemistry's books because they're so unique, and SKULK is no different! This one is about shapeshifting foxes, which I don't think I've ever heard of. Hopefully it's as unique as it sounds!

Amber House by Kelly Moore, Tucker Reed and Larkin Reed - I'm normally wary on ghost stories and books written my multiple people, but there's plenty of glowing Goodreads reviews!

Out of Play by Jolene Perry and Nyrae Dawn - I'm actually not sure about this book. New Adult is getting to be an overused genre. Plus, I've read another one of Perry and Dawn's collaborations and didn't really enjoy it :/ Hopefully it turns out to be an okay read!

The Promise of Amazing by Robin Constantine - THIS SOUNDS SO CUTE! I've been looking for a light read, too :D

The Princess in the Opal Mask by Jenny Lundquist - I actually already finished this, and it ended up being about a 3.5/5 for me. It has a fairy tale like feel to it. It's definitely a fun read though!

Unsouled by Neal Shusterman - UNWIND is one of my favorite books of all time, so I'm absolutely stoked about reading this one! The cover's totally (delightfully!) creepy too!

Ever since Rachael ended up with Nancy Drew book in her hands, Rachael has been obsessed with the written word! Outside of reading and blogging, Rachael also spends time playing three instruments, giggling excessively, eating good food and watching good movies. Currently Rachael lives in Northern California with her family and two rabbits. Visit her own blog @ Moosubi Reviews!

  1. Antigoddess sounds great! I've also heard mixed things about Marie Antoinette, but I still want to read it. I hope to get started in Stormdancer soon. Fairy tale feeling; The princess of the opal masks is definitely something for me.

    Happy reading!

  2. So many great books, Rachel! I am in love with the cover for The Promise of Amazing. I'm going to be sad if the inside isn't as good as the outside, but the cover, gah, I could stare at it all day :D

  9. Ooo, yay for Antigoddess! I got that one from Tor a little less than two months ago - so excited to read it! It came with a gorgeous feather bookmark. And ooo, Out of Play! I read that one - it's a pretty good contemporary read. And OMG so jealous that you got an ARC of the Opal Mask book - I requested one, but they ran out of ARCs really quickly. I'm on the blog tour though, so no big. eARCs are cool too :D

    Anyway, have a fabulous weekend!

  17. Oh my goodness, so many great books! :D
I can't wait to read Antigoddess and MASK. They look so promising.
As for Stormdancer and Kinslayer, I've heard nothing but great things about them two, but like you, I'm pretty nervous to read it. What if I don't like it as much as other people did? >___<
And Amber House! I've been meaning to read that one for the LONGEST time.
The Promise of Amazing! I want that one. It looks so cute! (:
Enjoy all your lovely books & thanks for stopping by my STS! (:
