Stacking The Shelves #44

Hello everyone, Sara here this week :) I actually haven't been doing STS for a couple weeks so I'm going to show you a sort of mix up. But basically the only thing I'm throwing in is the stuff I got for my birthday.
 Library
Allegiant by Veronica Roth-Um....I probably don't need to tell you that I'm pretty excited for this books release. I read Divergent on the urging of my librarian and loved it! I went out and bought it and even bought a copy for my friend. I cannot wait to see how the series ends...I'm a bit scared though :D This is also going to be the book that is discussed at my local library's book club ;)

Confessions of a Murder Suspect by James Patterson-And this was the book that we read for this month's meeting. I've already finished it and it was really good! Probably on my top three from James Patterson, I'd highly recommend you read it because it's very exciting and it's a great mystery!

The Demigod Diaries by Rick Riordan (and son)-I was told by my friend that I should read the demigod files before starting House of Hades (which I also got from my library) and I accidentally picked up this one instead -.- oops. It was still a great read though with some great short stories! I loved them all. And his son is wow...a really good writer!

Unbreakable by Kami Garcia-I wasn't super impressed by Margaret Stohl's Icons and I'm hoping that this book turns out to be better because I really enjoyed Beautiful Creatures * crossing fingers *

Ironskin by Tina - I had heard of this book a while ago and had gotten interested in it because it was supposed to be a Jane Eyre retelling. Jane Eyre happens to be my favorite classic so I'm happy to finally getting around to reading this retelling. I hope it will be good!

Defy The Dark by various- this is an anthology that I had started a while ago but never got around to finishing. So I'm hoping to finish it this time.

Night School by C.J. Daugherty- I totally judged a book by its cool cover and picked this one up without reading the back other than glancing at it. So hopefully it'll be a good one, it looks exciting.
Review
Every Waking Moment by Chris Fabry- This looked like an interesting book and I've enjoyed the collaborations with other author that Mr.Fabry has done. (The Left Behind series is probably the most famous)

Captive Maiden by Melanie Dickerson- which I don't have a picture of because I got it late today and wasn't able to send myself one. I am so excited, I own every other book that she's published (two other ARCs and one bought) and they've been wonderful retellings that are just very very lovely. I'm quite excited to start this one :D And the cover art is GORGEOUS.

Bought/Gifted
My birthday was a few weeks ago and I got a couple books, yay :) Unfortunately my picture isn't loading so I'll just give you the titles and links.

Raising Dragons by Bryna Davis-This has been one of my all time favorite books since I was about 12. It's a great book, Bryan Davis is an amazing author and I was so thrilled to meet him once and get some of my books signed. This was the series that seriously got me into dragons. And it's awesome. So happy to finally have a copy!

Forest Born by Shannon Hale- Another favorite series. I have the first two books and was glad to pick up another from the four book series. Another great fairy tale retelling series. Although only the first one is really a retelling.

Pendragon:The Never War by D.J.MacHale- I read this series a while back and this one was my favorite. So while at a local used books store I picked it up :) Very unique series and really good, except I didn't like the last three as much :/

So what did y'all get this week?
Girly For LifeSara Bennett happens to be a slightly crazy girl. A slightly nerdy girl. A slightly strange girl who likes being that way.  A slightly obsessed girl when it comes to things she loves. A girl who cries when reading books. A girl who desperately wants her own personal library. A girl who is a total bookworm. A girl who would rather read than watch reality tv. A girl who wants to be an author someday. A girl who loves her Savior. And a girl who just loves to read.

  2. I see everyone is worried about Allegiant. I didn't like Divergent but I was planning to read Insurgent and Allegiant at least before the movie comes out but after the spoilers, not anymore. But I hope you have fun reading it!! :D

  11. Some really great books this week! Still waiting for my copy on Unbreakable to arrive! Enjoy them all. Sad to say I'm 54% in to Allegiant and so far it's my most disappointing read of 2013. Maybe it's just me though, you might love it. Feels like a regurgitated version of the others as far as I'm seeing, just with a few name changes thrown in! Can't wait to review it though, now that should be interesting.

Enjoy all your reads. My STS
