I’ve been so excited for Stir Me Up ever since I first heard about it. I even preordered it as an e-book, something I rarely do. I started reading it right away, and it turned out to be just as great as I had hoped it would be. The characters and romance were both amazing!

Cami is a senior in high school when Julian, her stepmother’s nephew, ends up moving into their house. Julian is a twenty year old war veteran who had lost half of his leg. Julian was one of the best fictional guys I’ve read about in a while. He was kind of a jerk at first, but that didn’t last very long and considering the circumstances, I could empathize with why he acted like one. Cami and him were adorable together, too. I was rooting for them the whole book!

Cami was awesome and I thought it was loved how she was a chef. I personally like cooking, so I thought it was a very unique to include recipes in the end of the book. I also loved the storyline of her finding what she wanted to do with her life after high school. She was such a strong female lead and it was so sweet how much she cared about Julian.

One thing I really liked about Cami and Julian’s relationship was how neither set aside their own dreams in order to be with each other. There were also so many scenes throughout the book that had me laughing out loud. The banter between them was hilarious :)

I’m not sure if this would be a young adult or new adult book, but I think this would definitely would lean more towards to new adult. The romance was pretty steamy, and Julian was 20 years old. With that in mind, Stir Me Up is definitely the best new adult book I’ve ever read. I didn’t want it to end, but at the same time I’m so happy how everything ended up for the characters. I’d give Stir Me Up 4 1/2 out of 5 flowers and I’d recommend it to any contemporary or new adult lover out there.

* I’m giving away three e-book copies of Stir Me Up to any US/CA winner and the giveaway will end on October 19.
