2. Book You Were Excited About and Thought You Were Going to Love More But Didn't?
Rules of Summer by Joanna Philbin- I loved her Daughters series, but I thought this one was kind of disappointing.

3. Most surprising (in a good way!) book of 2013?
Night School by C.J Daugherty- I picked this up without previously reading any reviews, and I ended up loving it! It's such a good book :)

4. Book you read in 2013 that you recommended to people most in 2013?
I loved Pivot Point so much and I recommended both that and The Distance Between Us to a lot of other people. 

5. Best series you discovered in 2013?
I read the entire Ruby Red trilogy this year and it was such a good series! I really want to see the movie, although it's originally in German. 

6. Favorite new author you discovered in 2013?
Kasie West- I've given both books I've read by her, Pivot Point and The Distance Between Us, 5 flowers. They're both amazing reads! 

7. Best book that was out of your comfort zone or was a new genre for you?
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas- I'm not usually a big fan of fantasy, but Throne of Glass was an awesome read and I love Chaol already ;)

8. Most thrilling, unputdownable book in 2013?
Through The Ever Night by Veronica Rossi was one of the best sequels I've ever read!

9. Book You Read in 2013 That You Are Most Likely to Re-Read Next Year?
The Distance Between Us by Kasie West- I'm planning to do a reread next summer.

10. Favorite cover of a book you read in 2013?

11. Most memorable character in 2013?
Celeana from Throne of Glass or Magnus from Rebel Spring- I love Magnus and Celeana is a very awesome, witty character.

12. Most beautifully written book in 2013?
Unravel Me by Tahareh Mafi- She just writes so beautifully and there's so many memorable quotes in this book.

13. Book that had the greatest impact on you in 2013?
Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers- This was such a good book and I had to keep reading to see what would happen next!

14. Book you can't believe you waited UNTIL 2013 to finally read?
Cinder by Marissa Meyer- Cinder was great, but Scarlet was so much better. I'm now a huge fan of that series.

15. Favorite Passage/Quote from a Book you Read in 2013?

Shortest- Curse of The Arctic Star by Carolyn Keene (188 pages)
Longest- Cress by Marissa Meyer (560 pages)

17. Book That Had a Scene In It That Had You Reeling and Dying To Talk to Somebody About It? 
Chapter 62 in Unravel Me was so amazing! That definitely changed my support from Adam to Warner.

18. Favorite Relationship From A Book You Read in 2013 (be it romantic, friendship, etc.)
Romance- Scarlet & Wolf from Scarlet; Rachel and Isaiah from Crash Into You; Warner and Juliet from Unravel Me; Caymen and Xander from The Distance Between Us

Wait For You by J. Lynn- Excluding sequels or continuing books in a series, Wait For You was an awesome read!

Cinder by Marissa Meyer- This was recommended to me by Em @ The YA Book Butterfly

Contemporaries- my favorite genre!

Chaol from Throne of Glass, Sean from Uninvited, Wolf from Scarlet

23. Best 2013 debut you read?
Pivot Point by Kasie West- I can't say enough good things about this book! 

24. Most vivid world/imagery in a book you read in 2013?
Rebel Spring by Morgan Rhodes has a pretty unique world that I loved reading about.

25. Book That Was The Most Fun to Read in 2013?
How Zoe Made Her Dreams (Mostly) Come True by Sarah Strohmeyer was super cute! Hex Hall was also hilarious.

26. Book That Made You Cry or Nearly Cry in 2013?
I finally read The Fault in Our Stars and the letter towards the end is what made me finally cry.

27. Book You Read in 2013 That You Think Got Overlooked This Year or When It Came Out?
Night School was an awesome read, but I haven't seen too much about it on other blogs. 


1. New favorite book blog you discovered in 2013? 
I think I might have discovered this last year, but I really like Effortlessly Reading. There's so many cool features and the reviews give such good recommendations.

2. Favorite review that you wrote in 2013?
That's so hard for me to choose! I think my review of Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi, just because I had so much to say about that book.

3. Best discussion you had on your blog?
I had a Superpowers in YA discussion, which was a lot of fun!
Also, the other co-bloggers and I hosted a readalong for Smart Girls Get What They Want and included several discussions.

4. Most thought provoking review or discussion you read on somebody's else's blog?
I like the discussions on both The Perpetual Page Turner and Effortlessly Reading a lot. I'm not sure I could pick just one!  

5.  Best event that you participated in (author signing, festivals, virtual events, memes, etc.)?
ALA Annual 2013 in Chicago was so much fun! It was amazing to get the chance to go.

6. Best moment of book blogging/your book life in 2013? 
It was so amazing to be able to meet Morgan Matson, Sarah Ockler, Jessi Kirby, Shannon Messenger, and Kimberly Derting at a signing. They're all some of my favorite authors.

7. Most Popular Post This Year of Your Blog (whether it be by comments or views)?
I could only figure it out for this month, but that was the TTT with the 2014 Releases I'm Dying To Read.

8. Post You Wished Got A Little More Love?
My review of Endless Knight by Kresley Cole-It was an awesome sequel! and my Review/Giveaway of Stir Me Up by Sabrina Elkins. That book was great :)

9. Best Bookish Discover?
I'm not sure, I loved finding a bunch of new blogs and other things.

10. Did you complete any reading challenges or goals you had set for yourself at the beginning of the year?
Yes, I completed my goal on the Bookish TBR Challenge, and read/reviewed 20+ books for it. I also completed the DAC and I also completed the contemporary challenge.

1. One Book You Didn't Get To in 2013 But Will Be Your Number 1 Priority in 2014?
I finally want to read Daughter of Smoke and Bone, and Bookish is even hosting a readalong for that, which is exciting!

2. Book You Are Most Anticipating for 2014 (non-debut)?
Definitely What I Thought Was True by Huntley Fitzpatrick! My Life Next Door is one of my all time favorites and this one looks even better :)

3. 2014 Debut You Are Most Anticipating?
I haven't actually heard about too many debuts releasing next year. I'm sure I'll think of something sooner of later, though ;)

4. Series Ending You Are Most Anticipating in 2014?
Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi- I need to know how Juliette's going to choose *please be Warner*

5. One Thing You Hope To Accomplish in Your Reading/Blogging in 2014? 
I hope to blog on a more consistent basis and have more variety in posts! I'm also planning to post a survey at some point next month about which things should be added to the blog.

  4. I REALLLLLLLY liked The Distance Between Us. I ought to read Povot Point right? ;) Everyone's talking about that one. Yes to loving Chaol!!! How could one not love him. He's simply made of perfection ;) I love all the covers you've chosen, especially the Beautiful and the Cursed one. That's just.. too darn gorgeous. Can't wait to start How Zoe Made Her Dreams (Mostly) Come True. It does sound like a fun read. Daughter of Smoke and Bone is simply amazing so I hope you have tons of fun with that :)
