Racing Savannah by Miranda Kenneally Blog Tour Stop

Racing SavannahThey’re from two different worlds.
He lives in the estate house, and she spends most of her time in the stables helping her father train horses. In fact, Savannah has always been much more comfortable around horses than boys. Especially boys like Jack Goodwin—cocky, popular and completely out of her league. She knows th
e rules: no mixing between the staff and the Goodwin family. But Jack has no such boundaries. With her dream of becoming a horse jockey, Savannah isn’t exactly one to follow the rules either. She’s not going to let someone tell her a girl isn’t tough enough to race. Sure, it’s dangerous. Then again, so is dating Jack… Amazon/Barnes and Noble

I've been a fan of the Hundred Oaks series ever since I read Catching Jordan, so I was so excited to read Racing Savannah. Despite some aspects of the plot not being that realistic to me, all the cameos of past characters and the romance were both great!

The plot of Racing Savannah centers around another sport, this time horse racing. I'm personally not a huge fan of riding horses, but it's so cool to read about how much the main characters love what they do. The main character, Savannah, is the horse jockey at a farm owned by Jack's father. Jack, the guy she likes, is therefore pretty much unattainable to her.

I loved the storyline, but I feel that money differences during high school don't play as huge of a role in real life as they did in the book. I'm not saying they're unimportant, but I feel like the obstacle it created in Jack and Savannah's relationship was almost exaggerated. That's pretty much my only complaint, though ;)

The rest of the book was great! One thing I especially loved was all the cameos. All the main characters from the previous books are in this one, which I thought was very cool, especially considering they made more than just brief appearances. It was nice to catch up on where all the past characters now are.

The romance was pretty sweet, as well. I thought Jack and Savannah were a perfect match for each other. I always love the relationships in this series. Racing Savannah is a great continuation to the series that I'd give 3 1/2 out of 5 flowers.

  1. The cameos are always one of my fav parts in each book. Every scene that Sam Henry is in is just hilarious, too! >.< Glad you liked it, Montana! I really liked Savannah and the horse aspect was really interesting even though I know nothing about horse or riding horses. Great review! :)
