It's taken me so long to sit down and write this review, due to how amazing Split Second was. I just didn’t think I’d be able to put all my emotions about it into words. Split Second was everything I could have hoped for, being an absolutely amazing sequel. I just wasn’t prepared for everything to end.

Things picked up where Pivot Point left off and Trevor not remembering Addie. They’re one of my favorite book couples ever, so I was sad about that aspect. However, Kasie West did an amazing job at rebuilding almost their entire relationship. There were so many super sweet moments, and some quotes that are definitely going to be in my top favorites.

I was excited to see Layla’s side of things. Half of the chapters are told in her point of view. She’s definitely has a much different personality than Addie’s which was fun to read about. Her love interest, Connor, was the perfect match for her. They were both so stubborn, and shared similar characteristics that made them so perfect for one another. Especially since Layla has the power to basically mind control people, I thought it was cool that Connor was so unaffected by it. Their chemistry, in my opinion, was just as great as Addie’s and Trevor’s.

The plot was as amazing as ever! Truthfully, I had no idea how it was possible for everything to be resolved. I was especially nervous for the ending, considering I felt like it’d be extremely hard for everything to be tied up realistically. The ending was perfect, especially considering the circumstances that existed. I didn’t initially realize that this series was going to be a duology, so I was sad to see it end. However, I’m super excited to see what Kasie West is going to write next! I’d give Split Second 5 of of 5 flowers. I’d highly recommend this series if you haven’t yet read it, especially since it’s now complete. I can’t say enough about how amazing this series is :)

  1. I'm so pleased to see your 5 star rating for this book Montana. I've had my copy for the last few days and can't wait to start it. I'm always wary too when picking up follow up books, that they won't live up to the first book, but I'm glad to know you enjoyed Split Second just as much! :)

  3. I just bought this series!!! It's hard to find good romances these days and both Pivot Point and Split Second seem to be what everyone else has been talking about when referring to a touching love story. I'm so glad you speak highly of it too :D

  5. That's great you loved this one. I like the idea of a dual-ology because series are a bit too much for me to keep up with.
