Stacking the Shelves #58

Well hello everyone! Emily is back with a Stacking the Shelves today! Unfortunately, I gave up buying books and visiting bookstores for lent so I only have a couple books to show you that I bought before this season started! But no matter. Every book is worth showing, right? So let's get started!

Bought:

The Winner's Curse (The Winner's Trilogy, #1)Death Sworn (Death Sworn, #1)

The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkowski: As you guys know, I have already read and reviewed this book on the blog and I am so happy to have a copy of this on my shelf! It's really a fantastic book.
Death Sworn by Leah Cypess: I have also finished this book and couldn't resist buying it because it has such a beautiful cover, and it is a fantasy book after all!

New on my Nook:

Silver Phoenix (Kingdom of Xia, #1)Fury of the Phoenix (Kingdom of Xia, #2)

The Silver Phoenix by Cindy Pon: I just realized that I have actually already read all the books I'm showing today! But that's ok. They were all good...including this one!

Fury of the Phoenix by Cindy Pon: I loved the first one so much that I bought the second one as soon as I finished the previous one and read it all in one sitting! I really enjoyed this series!

That's all I have to share with you guys right now! So I'll see you another time!

Oh hello there! My name is Emily, though some of you may know me as the Bookie Monster. As the name would suggest, I devour books like the Cookie Monster devours cookies. In my spare time, I like to bake cookies (and devour those as well) and dream about taking over the world. As if my book obsession wasn't life consuming enough,

I work in the children's room at my local library and I am currently a sophomore in college majoring in English. It's safe to say I'm a bit of a book fanatic. I discreetly shed a few tears on my eleventh birthday when I did not receive my Hogwarts acceptance letter and I waited seven hours outside in the rain just to get a good seat at the Hunger Games midnight premiere. I'm terrified of blood and Disney movies make me cry (in a good way). My passions include hippos, hugs, and Hans Zimmer…and uh,long walks on the beach. I'm just a normal girl w
ith a slightly abnormal and frightfully expensive obsession. Nice to meet you!
