Top Ten Books That Will Be In My Beach Bag This Summer

Hey guys, Sara here! Long time no post ;) Anyway, I'm here to do Top Ten Tuesday today and list the books I want to have in my beach bag this summer :D Shamefully, I haven't been reading as much lately so I had a bit of a hard time figuring out which books I would want in my beach bag, I'm so out of touch with what has been going on lately :/ But here is my multple genre list...

City of Heavenly Fire (The Mortal Instruments, #6)Take Me On (Pushing the Limits, #4)      Isla and the Happily Ever After (Anna and the French Kiss, #3)     The Art of Lainey

Royally LostSplit Second (Pivot Point, #2)The Chapel WarsThe Giver (The Giver #1)DreamtreadersSeagrass Pier (Hope Beach, #3)

The Art of Lainey by Paula Stoke: I've heard some good things about this book and it looks interesting. I've actually just picked it up from my library today too ;)

Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins: The real question is how could this not be in someone's beach bag! I've been looking forward to this for a long time and the author is really great. Even though it releases at the end of the summer it definitely is one of my top picks.

Take Me On by Katie McGarry: I've loved her other books and I'll want to this book right when it comes out, even if it's not extremely light and happy sometimes I can relax better with something a little different ;)

City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare: A very highly anticipated book for a lot of people, including me and it's sure to be exciting and awesome!!

Spit Second by Kasie West: I'm currently reading Pivot Point and enjoying it a lot! So I'll definitely want to read the sequel pretty soon.

The Chapel Wars by Lindsey Leavitt: I really like this author and I'm eager to read the latest release from her!

Royally Lost by Angie Stanton: This book caught my eye becayse it looks interesting and really cute. I like that's it's set in Europe as well ;)

The Giver by Lois Lowry: Since this is becoming a movie sometime soon and it's supposed to be a good book anyway, I definitely want to make time to read it!

Dreamtreaders by Wayne Thomas Batson: I've read some of his books in the past and I'm glad to hear that he is starting a new series!

Seagrass Pier by Colleen Cobe: I love Colleen's books and I've really enjoyed this series as well. Looking forward to seeing how this addition to it will turn out!

Let us know what's in your Top Ten this week, what books will be in your beach bag this summer?? :)
Sara Bennett happens to be a slightly crazy girl. A slightly nerdy girl. A slightly strange girl who likes being that way.  A slightly obsessed girl when it comes to things she loves. A girl who cries when reading books. A girl who desperately wants her own personal library. A girl who is a total bookworm. A girl who would rather read than watch reality tv. A girl who wants to be an author someday. A girl who loves her Savior. And a girl who just loves to read.

  3. CoHF, I'm dying to read this so badly, but I'm in the middle of a really-bright-idea reread of the first 5 in the series... I know, I know. Katie McGarry has only really caught my attention today, so many people raving about these, I judged the covers, I didn't like them, I may be wrong. I've seen Stephanie Perkins books everywhere, and I either assumed it was over-hype, or again, because of the covers, I'm not quite sure why, I assumed these were quite young, young adult...

    1. I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who was meant to be rereading the series and was surprised by COHF's release coming so soon. I've already gotten a copy from the library but I think I'm going to have to turn it back in until I can finish rereading. It's 725 pages!! Wow...
I enjoy Katie McGarry's books...I'm not sure how I would describe them really. Dangerous and powerful maybe? I hope if you try them that you like them :)
I would describe Perkins as young, young adult at all. While some people have found them to be lacking from all the hype they've heard, I was really pleased when I finally read them.

  4. I think you should check out some of the reviews from Royally lost.. I agree that it sounds cute, but it has been getting quite some negative feedback. The art of Lainey on the other side gets a lot of love and I'm curious to try it out. Happy reading :D
