January Contemporary Challenge Review Link-Up and Giveaway

Hi everyone! It's been so much fun to see everyone's goals and TBRs for this year's challenge. The following is the first link-up and giveaway, which will stay open through February 5. This giveaway is international and in order to be eligible to win, you must be signed up as a participant in the challenge (you can still do so here). In order for the review to count, it has to be a contemporary novel in the young adult genre and have been read & reviewed in January. Good luck! I hope you all are having an amazing reading month :)

  1. Re: Agh, I never know what counts as a contemporary!! Lol if it's a YA that has other themes like thriller, fantasy elements etc. but it's set in present day does it count? I read and reviewed Who R U Really?, Between the Lives and Never Never, and I don't know if they count or not!! :D R x

Sorry, I accidentally deleted your original comment! Who R U Really? and Never Never would both count! :) Between The Lives wouldn't count because it's more paranormal than contemporary. I think of a contemporary with nothing too unrealistic in it (so no fantasy/paranormal elements). Hope that helps!

  3. Just for future reference, I read and review ARC a head of time and my reviews go on Goodreads as soon as I finish them. Is it okay if I use the Goodreads link for those ones? Thanks!

  4. LOL I'm kind of an idiot because I only now realized this challenge is for YA only!
I'm extending my personal challenge to include all types of contemporary (because my goal is really to read contemporary, not only from the ya kind) , but will link only YA here ^_^

  6. I can't seem to enter more than 50 characters on the "Name" section of the Linky so I just cut-shot my book title from "The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight" to "The Statistical Probability"... hope that's fine :)

  7. Would The Conspiracy of Us by Maggie Hall be considered contemporary for this challenge or is it too out there?

    1. That one works! It sounds like a contemporary mystery, which is okay for the challenge :)
