Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite 2016 Releases So Far This Year

Hi everyone! I missed doing this topic last week, so when I saw that this week's one was a freebie, I was really happy. There's been so many amazing 2016 releases, and having to narrow it down was definitely difficult. However, here are my picks so far this year:

1) A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

A Court of Mist and Fury (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #2)

This book was so incredible! It blew away all of my expectations and the writing was absolutely stunning. I don't think I've ever read a better sequel.

The Only Thing Worse Than Me Is You

My review of this will be coming in the next week or so but the voice of the main character Trixie was so unique along with the plot and romance. I loved both and the cast of characters in the novel was awesome.

738 Days

This is one I'd been anticipating for a while and it didn't disappoint. I had so much admiration for the main character and the romance was done perfectly.

Walk the Edge (Thunder Road, #2)

Katie McGarry is definitely an auto-buy author and Razor and Breanna's story was great! The Thunder Road series is one of my favorites and I'm so excited for Chevy and Violet's novel.

Suffer Love

This debut is as amazing as the cover (which I find especially gorgeous) suggests and the "star-crossed" element of Sam and Hadley's relationship was done so much better than I expected it would be.

Defending Taylor

This is another series I'll never tire of reading, and each book never fails to suck the reader in and feel every emotion that the characters go through. My review for this one is coming up on July 5th and it's an amazing addition to the Hundred Oaks series!

The Distance from A to Z

I gushed quite a bit about this one in my initial review but it's a seriously adorable story! I loved Abby and Zeke.

Marrying Winterborne (The Ravenels, #2)

Winterbourne and Helen are one of those couples where the build up to their relationship is especially amazing. After the teases of it in Cold Hearted Rake, their relationship was just as incredible as I hoped it would be and Rhys had so much more to him that I initially thought <3

Lady Bridget's Diary (Keeping Up with the Cavendishes, #1)

Lady Bridget's Diary is such a great retelling mashup of Pride and Prejudice, Bridget Jones Diary and even Mean Girls a bit. There were so many hilarious moments interspersed with the romantic ones. Chasing Lady Amelia  (its companion novel) releases today as well, and I'm so excited to continue on with the series!

Love Me Never

I was unsure of this one when I first started reading it, but I got hooked on the story and can't wait to continue on with the series.

What were your picks this week? I'd love to visit your Top Ten Tuesday! :)

I've seen so much about TBR Takedown on my Twitter feed in the past few days and decided to participate. The Last Time We Were UsA passionate summer love story about a girl, her childhood best friend recently released from juvie, and the small-town lies that have kept them apart. A teen romance debut with a dark edge.Liz Grant is about to have the summer of her life. She and her friend MacKenzie are getting invited to all the best parties, and with any luck, Innis Taylor, the most gorgeous guy in Bonneville, will be her boyfriend before the Fourth of July. Local teen convict released early.

“You’re the one person who believes in me.”
Leah Konen’s southern romance swelters with passion as it explores the devastating crush of lies, the delicate balance of power and perception, and one girl’s journey to find herself while uncovering the secrets of so many others.

Hi Again: A Blogging & Life Update

Hi! It's been a long time since I've written a post and as you may have noticed, I've been mostly absent from the blog this year. Starting college last year, I expected to still continue on blogging, maybe less frequently, but things just didn't pan out the way I hoped. I was bogged down by the stress of school and working and my blog took a back-burner, while I still felt I had to meet all of my blogging obligations. I got stressed and over the past few months, I've struggled with whether or not I want to continue with blogging in general. Blogging has been a passion of mine for so long and I've loved so many of the experiences and friends I've made through it. At the same time, I felt guilty for not being able to read or make as many blogging commitments as I used to. After thinking for some time, I've decided that I'm going to continue on with blogging and just not put as much pressure on myself and perhaps change my style of reviews and incorporate more unique posts in. I've also been considering Booktubing. I figure this summer will be a good time to figure everything out and hopefully finally get a new redesign! For all those who have stuck with the blog, thank you from the bottom of my heart! I really appreciate it and I hope you guys love the content to come <3
